Concept 2 Rowers

The Concept 2 Rowing machines have been supplied into the UK since the early 80's. In that time the sport of Indoor Rowing has penetrated every aspect of the health, fitness and sports markets in the UK from fitness clubs to schools, and the armed forces to the home.

Concept 2 got its start in 1976 in the USA by Dick and Pete Dreissigacker, fresh from Olympic training they started making composite racing oars… They went on to create the model A “erg” (ergometer) Concept 2 in 1981 which led to a revised model B being developed in 1986 which had a new Performance Monitor and Flywheel Cover.

The Model C was introduced in 1993 and sold huge numbers within the UK for almost 10 Years until the Model D with PM3 Performance Monitor replaced it in 2003

August 2006 saw the launch of the Model E which was sold along side the Model D. The Model E features a New PM4 Performance Monitor, a 6 inch higher Seat for easier accessibility, sturdier double coated Painted Frame and a Nickle Plated Chain
