Product Identification: Hot Melt Dry Wax Granules (Iron-On)

Additional Info: Expert Brand Dry Wax Granules ave a very low melt point and ideal for re-waxing or re-dressing Treadmill Deck Boards. Mainly used for Hardboard Deck tops and Plywood Decks, once melted in the Crystals provide a Hard Wearing Wax that will last sometimes YEARS.

Also recommended and suited for use on our own replacement Treadmill Belts

Packaging

For your convenience our Treadmill Wax Granules are supplied in a seal tight bag and have a long shelf life. More than enough in the bag!!!

Method

Our method of application requires the Deck to be completely removed from the machine and the deck surface warmed up using a hot Iron (we must stress here that IF YOU VALUE YOUR LIFE then NEVER EVER use an Iron regularly used by your Mother or your Spouse!!!). Get your OWN iron to melt the Beads into the deck until the wood stops absorbing the melted wax. Wipe off excess Wax and allow the Deck to cool as it will be very hot, before refitting to the Treadmill. During normal usage the deck will warm up and due to the low melt point of the Wax will provide a continuous supply of Wax onto the underside of the Running Belt. Very few manufactures use this method today due to many choosing to build their products using Laminated Decks and applying the lube onto the Running Belt instead.

Kind to Running Belt Fabric

Once the Wax has applied itself onto the fabric of the Belt (Normally Cotton) the Deck and the underside of the Running Belt will have an even film of Wax applied, ensuring very long periods of sometimes years between applications.

Should I use Oil or Wax?

Pull the side of the belt upward an inch and look/feel/check the fabric on the underside of your belt. If it is Cotton you should always use our advanced Dry Wax Powder Lube or Granules. Anything other than Cotton such as Polyester weave etc should use our advanced Silicone products.
